Some days you just need a smoothie! I use to start every morning with a protein shake but it never really left me satisfied long term. I was usually searching for food by 10am. I started eating “real” breakfasts and that has seemed to help, but some mornings (especially when its hot out) I just want something quick, easy and refreshing!
Peaches are EVERYWHERE right now! Ive never been much of a peach fan, I prefer nectarines its a fuzz thing for me. What can I say I dont like fuzz in my mouth when Im eating (I know its weird). However, I was shopping at Bristol Farms the other day and they had some really pretty peaches so I bought a couple. Then they sat in my fruit bowl as I wondered what to do with them so I didnt have to eat the fuzz!
This morning I woke up CRAVING fruits & vegetables (which is weird since my dinner last night was a GINORMOUS salad)! Anyhoo, I whipped this baby up and it was awesome! Totally dairy free (if your in to that sort of thing) and not a big calorie or carbohydrate bomb either!
1 cup unsweetened Almond Milk (or any milk you prefer. It would be awesome with Coconut Milk but I was trying to keep the calories down)
1/2 cup Plain Coconut Yogurt (any yogurt will work)
1 cup spinach
1 medium-large peach sliced
1/2 cup frozen pineapple
ice to your liking (I used about 1/4 cup)
Put all ingredients in the blender in order listed and blend until smooth!
